THE WONDERING JEW

Mother Nature

About this time of year, in our country anyway, the weather seems to come up with things more unusual than ever before.

Seven inches of snow the other night, wet stuff no less. Our deciduous trees in leaf fought their war with many losses. Even saw a tree that had been pulled over by the weight of snow. Strewn around town are limbs, twigs green stuff looking a little tattered and worn. Even some evergreens had a few limbs here and there broken.

It is the time of floods, tornados and just out and out weird weather.

There was still snow in shady spots today, green lawn thriving, supposed to be 70 tomorrow. Nothing says it can't happen next week, or even tomorrow. All it would take probably is just a little twitch of the jet stream to drastically change things.

Anyway, one couldn't ask for better weather for Mother's Day here. Sun, very light breeze, you know the kind they call zephyrs in books. Heather enjoyed being outdoors in such nice weather, sitting at a table and visiting with kids and their mates.

I spent the day with her with a glad heart to see her improving. She hopes to go home tomorrow, but has no idea when they will let her go. I pray that she can come home if she is at all able. But not if coming home will put her back in hospital or come home too soon to get the full benefit of the home visit physical therapist.

I don't have much of a mind tonight, some how sleep seems to demand priority over anything else.

Maybe this weeks entries will just serve as spacers between last weeks and the week's coming.

We mortals try to get things down pat, cause and effect, costs and profits, nailed down, and sometimes screwed up similar to the weather of Mother Nature . . . . . . . .
