THE WONDERING JEW

Kaleidoscopic

Bits and pieces, scattered here and there, broken lives and tattered bodies of all different nationalities. Our forces have yet to be as barbaric as to behead an Iraqi for television. Nevertheless there are many more recent pictures of the abuse our men have done, videos too. I guess it will take a lot of time to sink that low, but if command and the politicians do not take control and pay attention it is possible for our country to be as guilty as any other country in the world.

Beheading in the news, which will cause even more people like Rush Limbaugh to jump in and say words to the effect, "Well, maybe a few of our boys got a little over exuberant and did something similar to a college hazing --- but, but, but just look at what they did to one of ours."

But two wrongs do not make a right, do they ? Or to people's popular opinionation, do they ?

Headlines in the Rocky Mountain News this morning:

Energy gets a break

Oil, gas industry gains as Senate OKs $14B in tax benefits.

Corporate tax cuts get Senate approval

Benefits extension for jobless rejected

The ?war? in Iraq goes on and on and on. Administration asks for more and more and more money to continue the military action, but seems not to exercise much control of any of the actions.

Did you ever try to see through broken glasses ? Through glasses smeared with grease ? Similar I think, to the mess these days.

We might be compared to the ancient Dutch Boy with his finger in the dike seeing more leaks spurt out further than he can reach.

Reading the papers today seems to present a picture that is Kaleidoscopic . . . . . . . .
