ENJOYMENT

We had some necessary chores to do today, ones that really couldn't wait so our morning was pretty well taken up. Then a scramble to get ourselves ready to attend the birthday party of a great grandson who turned eight. Which we did and had a blast. So far so good.

Then we changed clothes and went to a wedding of one of our son Rob's great friends. And the wedding was great also, good music and all. After that we went across town to the place where the reception was being held, which is a veritable museum in itself. Fabulous plantings around the yard, most of which are xeriscape types but beautiful to the max. Lots of outdoor seating with tables and benches, much good food including fabulous desserts. String quartet playing nice music. The people attending were also great folks, good nature abounded.

Rob's ex-wife was there of course as she knows the groom quite well from her days of marriage to Rob. So Heather and I grouped with her and made a little family in a family and visited up a storm with other folks we already knew or with folks we would like to know.

We just got home a short time ago and wondered why we were so beat. Other than the short time we were in church the rest of our day was spent outdoors. Heather came and told me that the temperature today reached 101 degrees which explains why we are exhausted. We are such delicate flowers any more and such pitiful little weeneys. Events seem to pile up on top of each other now that it is hard to keep up. Far be it from us to cancel anything, but at times it does seem that for one day there can be a bunch too much ENJOYMENT . . . . . . . . .
