Heavy, Heavy . . .

This time every four years we in the States live in a state different than where our official residence is listed. We all seem to be living in the State of Confusion, Cynic County, Resigned City, hopeless Street.

The money doth flow to two sides -- guess big money figures which ever of the two bought political parties gets in they will stay bought !

Battle is waged in sound bites, mud is slung in little bits, little, stinging, smearing bits.

Real aims are hidden and covered over until the public hears the other shoe drop a while after the confetti and B.S. have faded and we have to face the reality of who we put in office.

Too late to go in the direction of strengthening a third party, hell the two main parties now seem to be doing their own self destructive bickering and jockeying. Things that a third party might show a profit on if given a chance.

The Polls -- nowadays, citing of the accuracy of the polls is in percentages, "this thing will happen plus or minus 4 percent." Yeah. right. The old adage of, "only a fool is certain," I then ask all the hypesters, "Are you positive ?" Seems to me that the outfit who can buy the most prestigious pollster can win the election hands down.

Another thing, I do believe that the voting returns from all sources should not be made public until all votes have been cast and counted, otherwise it allows a feeding frenzy amongst the media. Also assorted 24 hour a day experts (experts never do agree anyway) on any of the TV channel "panels" all of who seem to throw another brown cloud of bull pooky on top of the the hooha now existing. You know, hype it up, whoop it up.

All that, really reminds me of the sports announcers on TV who seem to feel that not even one second of "dead air" should ever exist on their so called coverage. If I can force my self to be semi enthused over a professional sporting event, I usually watch with the volume silenced -- the score shows up on the screen without all the babbling, blather that forms a very irritating, grating background and contains as much accuracy as Campaign assertions.

And I still am the firm believer that the voter should have the option of voting "None Of The Above" which should send all parties scurrying back to the drawing board to actually build a platform and choose a viable candidate.

While I am thinking about it -- in all fairness the debates should have been open to all candidates. Along with that, why not cut this thing down to a very few public debates, open to all, media somehow be forced to restrain themselves and tell the truth rather than fantisize. The public's right to know is as worn to a frazzle as a dish rag tied to a frightened dog's tail, running through brambles and "bob" "war."

It is hard for me to try to sift the facts from the fiction, even if some are telling the truth, will they live up to their promises better than politicians of the past ?

So the old kids teasing, guessing game about the overhead stuff, "Heavy, Heavy . . . . . I have the seniority to speak
