MENE MENE TEKEL UPHARSIN

Words to this day scholars are trying to find the literal translation of those words - - - but in essence Daniel's meaning could well be words to the king, "The Jig Is Up." Jewish Encyclopedia dot com discusses it at length, on and on. Three articles from the Rocky Mountain News seem to me to be the handwriting on the wall for us.

One is an article of today by Terence Hunt of the Associated Press, in part:

BUSH: IRAQ UP TO NEXT GUY

An article by Marcus Kabel March 21, also of the Associated Press, in part:

WAL-MART UNVEILS BIG EXPANSION IN CHINA; 150,000 JOBS PLANNEDBENTONVILLE, ARK. -- "Wal-Mart Stores Inc. plans to hire up to 150,000 employees in China over the next five years, FIVE TIMES ITS CURRENT WORK FORCE THERE as it expands its number of stores, the company said Monday."

Wal-Mart has targeted China, which has long been a major supplier of its products, as a key region for its international store growth. It now has 56 stores in China with about 130,000 employees and plans to open 20 more stores this year."

"The news comes less than a week after Wal-Mart moved to expand in another fast growing region, Central America, by taking a majority stake in a regional retail chain that it first bought into last September."

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

In the same paper of the same day is this, in part :

DELL PLANS TO EMPLOY 20,000 IN INDIA IN THREE YEARS

NEW DELHI -- "Dell Inc. plans to double the number of its employees in India to 20,000 in three years, Chairman Michael Dell said Monday, in what appeared to be moves by the world's largest personal computer maker to beef up its presence in one of the world's fastest-growing markets."

"Although most of the new hiring will be for call centers, there will also be substantial recruitment at a product-testing center and a possible manufacturing plant."

"The Round Rock, Texas-based company operates four call centers in India, a product-testing center for corporate customers and a global software-development center. About 10,000 people are employed there."

So, Mr. Bush lets it out - - the next guy on watch has the mess to clean up and the blame to take,it would seem.

And from the way things are going nowadays it would appear the the biggies have decided we as a country of employees are not Cost Effective. The above quoted articles only touch the tip of outsourcing floating ice.

That and the purchasing of U.S. infrastructure is another berg in the waters of state as far as I can see.

As in the Bible the words seen in the Bible and interpreted and mis-interpreted through the ages might well be seen on the walls of Congress, MENE MENE TEKEL UPHARSIN . . . . . . . . . .
