GREEN IS GROWING

Daffodils are pushing up, twigs are getting limber and the buds are greening now. Grass is turning to its natural color as well.

And the blessed, glorious sun has been beaming and smiling upon us.

And today is the 17th of Ireland, The Wondering Jew wore this pin on a pale green shirt.

And had a nice day along with it.

Still, the world turns and sometimes turns into something worse -- I quote a short article in the National Briefing of today's The Rocky Mountain News

BEATING DEATH

Gulag survivor killed

MOUNT LAUREL, N.J. -- "A motorist beat a former Soviet political prisoner to death with a rock Thursday at a highway rest stop after the victim declined to buy his religious CDs, police said."

"Brian K. White, 26, was charged with murder. The victim, 75-year-old MIchail J. Makarenko, spent 11 years in prison for anti-Soviet agitation."
