WHAT WILL IT BE CALLED

When our town's infrastructure is deteriorated to the point that potholes are much more than mere knotholes and all the other pieces and parts of the "under system" are going the way of all flesh ?

Seems like once sturdy pieces and parts of our infrastructure in Denver have deteriorated to the extent that perhaps much more money will have to be spent to build new things to replace the worn out stuff.

Much of the problem is that not enough money has been allowed to properly and timely repair things that need work until they must be replaced.

The need is for enough money to bring up to date the infrastructure of parks, public works, buildings and other public facilities. Enough money to improve Denver Health (medical center), municipal animal shelter, child care centers, among other things. And the list goes on.

Some of the needs will be addressed by increasing taxes, and then eight bond issues to take care of other things that need to be done.

I wonder if the voters will go for that or those with money will spend the cash to invest in bond issues ?

All the time new things, new projects, new buidings and facilities are coming up, but so much has been crumbling, going downhill, I wonder if even Atlas could bear that weight, or the man who pushes the rock uphill and tumbles back down just to repeat his efforts would get over rolled by that massive weight ?

Seems like Denver in some ways is much like New Orleans, except it doesn't have the Mississippi at its door step. Heck the 1965 Platte River flood brought the water level up to the six foot mark in the stretch just west of our Union Station.

So, when the infrastructure is eroding to the point of failure, what is the terminology ? Substandard Infrastructure, or some fancy name that means the same. I wonder WHAT WILL IT BE CALLED ? . . . . . . . . . . . .
