Who was it that said, "there are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics"? Remember, if you stand a man with one side in a room at 35 degrees and the other side in a room at 90 degrees, on the average he is "comfortable." *** When I worked for a personal injury lawyer, I noticed that the doctors make different adjustments after the insurance payment has come in. Those who don't have insurance don't get the adjustment... Hippocratic oath? or hypocritic?

I remember being amused back in the early 90's when there was a lot of fuss about buying American cars. We needed a car with a lot of room to haul the family around, so we bought a Dodge Caravan. That's good U.S. brand, right? It had a Mistubishi engine and it was assembled in Canada. I was also driving a Chevrolet Nova -- lift the hood and look at the engine and you would see "Toyota" on the block -- the Nova and the Corolla were identical cars built in the same California factory that was jointly-owned by Toyota and General Motors. Was I driving American cars? Nancy and I both drive Toyotas today, both cars built in Toyota factories in the U.S. The kids both drive Hondas. I know one of them was built in the U.S., not sure about the other.
