Thanks for a good news story, Doug. They're there, but they do need seeking out. Like you, I wonder about the child's future but, thanks be, she has one.

Fantastic work of strangers. But the future is left to question.

The why's here almost outweigh the good outcome. There are, thank Gd, good people in this world. But how did the home situation evolve? Is there no one to teach the young mother what she has to do, how did no one ever teach the young boys what they were supposed to do? The grandfather may have had good reason to be out, but... Darn, I keep thinking liquor store or worse.

The article doesn't say, but I bet the child protective authorities are all over this family now... If they're not, then shame on them. That baby should have already been removed from the home pending investigation, and that mother should have to jump through major hoops to get her back.

I just realized that I'm getting only about one in four of the "notifies" of your journal. Any reason why?

I just realized that I'm getting only about one in four of the "notifies" of your journal. Any reason why? Just noticed that I misspelled my own name in my e-mail address. Sorry! (I've corrected it now.)

Yes, a miracle indeed, with just the right timing and coordination to save the child. Best of wishes and luck to her now.

It is good to know that miracles do happen. I do so hope that child is placed with a really good family who will love her till she can't stand it anymore.
