Every time I hear a story like this I give thanks for our National Health Service, Doug. And every time I receive treatment, free, when I need it, I wish my friends all over the world were as well served.

Keep in mind that many of these physicians are U.S.-trained -- which may be good or bad. There is also the option of having an surgeon in another part of the world watching via internet and coaching. But reading medical news and seeing commercials for drugs to treat what I don't have makings me very grateful for the comparatively good health I have.

Well, I just read a newspaper article this week in our local paper that a neighbor of mine was ordering prescribed medications from Canada because the cost was half of what he had to pay here. Well, Homeland Security confiscated his order and kept it. They sent him a letter and said that he wouldn't be getting any more medication from Canada. Go figure.

Well, I've got news for the lady with the hip. If she sits a horse again, she won't have that hip for long... no mater where she had it installed. Artificial hips aren't made for that sort of wear and tear.
