I think living in a "free" country like America has insulated most of us against the hard cold reality of how the rest of the world exists. We are appalled to hear of child labor, starving families, genocides, inequities... we live our lives as best we can, trying to be good to one another - at least I believe most of us do - but reality is a tough nut to swallow and I'm afraid we tend to turn our heads the other way for the most part. It's like we are living on a desert island over here, almost immune to the atrocities of the evil that man can do... when it even touches us slightly, we are stunned. But I have to wonder when the humanity of the world will ever be equalized.

It's a good day to rest, I think. Here's to recharging!

I'm sorry that Heather is "ailing". I hope she is much better by now, and that you have your second wind and can continue on into the New Year with "vim and vigor". Happy New Year to you and your family.

We, here in America, do not know how good we have it to be living in (supposedly) free society. It really makes one think that not everyone in the world has it so good. But then I think, our freedoms are being snatcthed away little by little, so before long the gov't will probably control us too. So Sad! QS (You know who)
