I would love to work from home, especially if I was doing it for my own business. Unfortunately, I can't come up with any good ideas! Oh well, have a happy new year!

Happy New Year, Doug and Heather!!! Here's wishing you Health and Joy for 2007, and many years to come. Yes, I agree, the internet and globalization will continue to open up chances for the eager and hard-working folks. The name of th game is Love and Service, isn't it! Hugs from Asia, ~ Sil

Once burned, twice shy. If you've been caught in something (like bad investments or identity theft) through no fault of your own, you can be too timid to put yourself forward. It seems as if every good thing that has been developed in the last fifty years has been mirrored by someone who found a way to subvert it to his or her own purposes.

Happy New Year to you and to your family. May 2007 be better for our country, and for the world.

I was reading something the other day about micro-lending. Another revolution against the gatekeepers. Small loans exchanged person-to-person with a screening/mediating website in between. It's mostly people looking for start-up capital or to make improvements in their small businesses. Loans too small for banks to bother with. But that $900 for a new oven means everything to the baker. So yay for us little guys! We'll do for ourselves, thankyouverymuch. ~LA
