I feel badly for the animal suffering that goes on in weather like this, and for the owners who struggle to rescue them.

Sounds like the old time blizzards out west in the pioneer days, doesn't it? I'm glad that you're safe and sound and send good wishes to all those who are snowbound, and all those who are out trying to clear things up.
