I hit the next button from previous entry but it didn't lead to this last post. Had to get there from the notify. :-)

I KNOW I'm underpaid!

I know I could be making a lot more money than I am, but I would have to be on the road a lot (well, not so much "the road" as the airports) and that is more aggrevation than I want to put up with. I am quite pleased with being able to work from home.

I am perhaps in a minority, but I think I get paid very will for what I do. On the flip side, I will do anything asked of me. I am there 7 1/2 hours. If it isn't in my "Job Description" so be it. Being busy makes the day pass quicker. My benifits are excellant too. I am grateful for what I have.

I remember when I worked at the law office and as lawyers bill for their time and had to keep time sheets. I did the same thing with all that I did just to back up why I deserved the raise I asked for. Most of them never realized how much I was doing and how much time the jobs took.

I work as a web developer for a university, and I know I'm getting paid less for my job than I would if I were working in the private sector. On the other hand, there's more to compensation then just money, and the medical and retirement benefits that I get from my job, along with the flexible work hours and the ability to work from home as often as I need to all more than make up for the reduced pay. I'm perfectly happy with my compensation.
