I'm hopeful trolley cars and other mass transit will come back in a big way. Makes sound environmental sense. (Besides, riding a trolley would be fun!) ~LA

There is hope here in South Korea. Taxicabs and many busses run on LPG, a much cleaner fuel. The air is a lot cleaner than it was in 2001. I was in Manila last week; pollution and transport are bad. Saw lots of trucks and SUVs belching black smoke. They are just starting to convert taxis to LPG. Pedi-cab cyclists wear surgical masks to filter out the carbon.

I've never been on a trolley but would love to ride one.

I've not been on a trolley but it sounds like fun. I would use our county's public transit but it is so unreliable that a trip that would take me a total of two hours - to and from - by the public transit, the trip takes four plus hours.

Our county is getting more and more congested with traffic. I didn't want to be one of those Moms who "parked the kids in front of the television", but for the commute to and from school, in order to get peace and quiet, I do let them watch a movie. I'd rather not listen to the children bickering AND deal with traffic that isn't going anywhere at the same time.

We have a bus system with hours and routes not conveient to me. Besides the big things tear up the streets. Better areas of town they are building concrete bus loading/unloading stops.
