"We have a good microwave and I know how to use it" Haha, you almost sound dangerous! Terry does without me for a long weekend now and then. We stock the kitchen and we have my daughter that can run for him if needed. He does okay. I think it's good for his moral too, just knowing he can still fend for himeself, at 68, without his legs. We speak 2 or 3 times a day and it passes quickly. You'll be fine, I'm sure.

Microwave, of course. You also have a telephone and the internet, and you know how to use those. *** Regarding pets: don't know about Denver, but I know a vet in Oregon who routinely brings cats or dogs to senior centers for people to enjoy. Here in Connecticut, they have brought dogs to *nursing homes* with great success; photos of the patients' faces were precious.
