Sounds like you had fun passing out the goodies, as well as remembering what fun it was to collect them. We had a ways to leg it to the edge of town, (past the old cemetary, too {shiver!} but it was especially thrilling to go to our older cousin's house. Skip would always scare us, but not too badly. He would have some trick like cold spagetti to feel, or a flashlight under his chin to make himself look spooky. Thanks for reminding me how much fun Halloween was.

Yes it was a time of joy way back then with a parent to make the costumes. But our pockets were checked for soap. None of that for us.

Funtime memories, Doug. I'm a Wearie Eerie myself, Norm is home from more back surgery meaning long hours in attendance. We didn't have any T or T'ers, this is an older neighborhood now with no small tricksters around anymore. But our kids remember nights on the loose like yours that one night a year and full bags of goodies.
